- Member of the Bedford Board of Zoning Appeals, 1984 - 1994

- From her home of 54 years on Santin Circle, served from 1986-2002 and from 2018 until her passing as a Member of the Cuyahoga County Democratic Party Central Committee, Precinct 4-B of the City of Bedford, Ohio,

- Member of the Cuyahoga County Democratic Party Executive Committee

- served as an Elections Judge for the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections for 20 years, from 1970-1990

- Served as a Member of the Bedford Township Bicentennial Commission in 1997, and was involved with the National League of Cities, Northern Ohio City Council Association, the former Bedford and Southeast Chambers of Commerce, the Bedford Historical Society, and numerous other organizations and causes.

- On two occasions, THE HONORABLE PAULA R.A. MIZSAK would be named recipient of the Bedford/Walton Hills Democratic Party Rose M. Grossenbaugh Democratic Woman of the Year – in 2011 and 2016, respectively, the recipient of the Nancy M. Lachowski Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020, and the inaugural recipient of the Andrew P. & Paula Mizsak Volunteer of the Year Award
